Presidential Elections of Okhai Memon Jamat 2023-25 on Sunday 10 September, 2023

KARACHI: The Presidential Elections of Okhai Memon Jamat (OMJ) for the tenure of 2023 to 2025 will be held on Sunday 10th September, 2023 from 09:00 AM in the morning till 05:00 PM in the evening without any break at the central office of Okhai Memon Jamaat Hussein Ibrahim Sports Complex, Hussainabad, Federal B. Area, Karachi.

In which aprox 13 thousand members of OMJ exercise their right of vote. Mr. Shahid Iqbal Barai – Electoral Symbol is Chair, Mr. Abdul Aziz Ahmed Haji Abdul Kareem Kath – Electoral Symbol is Hockey and Mr. Muhammad Yasin Haji Abdul Sattar Vayani (Kerya – Electoral Symbol is Car are the nominated Presidential candidates.

Chairman of OMJ Election Committee, Mr. Waqas Younus Jiwani has requested all members of OMJ to bring their computerized bio-metric memberships cards on the Election Day.

The oath taking ceremony will be held on Sunday, 17 September, 2023 at Hussein Ibrahim Sports Complex, Hussainabad.

The Okhai Memon Jamat was formed in 1880 when a number of families came here and resided in Kharadar area of Karachi near the port. This organization was registered under the societies Act XXI of 1860.

The Okhai Memon Jamat has the distinction that “Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah” presided one gathering in its premises during independence movement. The Okhai Memon community was in forefront in the task of rehabilitation of migrated muslims in Karachi at the time of partition.
