This Eid-ul-Fitr 2023, Woman Welfare Wing organised a philanthropic get-together on 25 April, at Aagosh Trust, DHA, Karachi, with title, “Eid Ki Khushiyan MAA k Aagosh Main”, under the leadership of Mrs. Ayesha Fayyaz, President of Women Welfare Wing.
Aagosh has successfully provided shelter to homeless and lonely women of all ages since 2003. Event was attended by Member Provincial Assembly Shahnawaz Jadoon, among the Memon community and business personalities, Haji Masood Parekh, Akhtar Younis Arfa, Abdul Razzaq Pardesi, Iqbal Advani, Muhammad Junaid, Maqsood Memon Motiwala, Muhammad Ali Deriwala, Anwar Miyanoor, Ayaz Bandukra, Abdul Majeed Abdani, Javed Badhani, Farhan Zakaria, Fazeel Bandhani, Haji Ashraf Ado, Zubair Baba, Aftab Kamdar, AK Memon, Aftab Alam and others participated. Participants had the privilege of meeting the elderly women of Aagosh Trust. They distributed different gifts and food items among them.
Ms. Shagufta Saba, the head of Aaghosh organization, informed about the performance of the organization. Speaking on the occasion, Member Provincial Assembly Shahnawaz Jadoon assured of his all possible cooperation while appreciating the performance of the organization. He added that he will present a resolution in the Sindh Assembly to establish an old age house for destitute and aged women immediately.
Haji Masood Parekh, Chairman of Memon Khwat Forum, termed the establishment of Aghosh as the need of the hour and said that we should also actively participate in this good work. We cannot ignore them.
Assuring every possible support, Mr. Akhtar Arfa offered his deepest gratitude to Ms. Shagufta for taken up very tough responsibility of these elderly ladies in today’s turbulent times. Taking care of these elderly women is a worthy initiative. Spending time with these helpless old women is a source of peace in our hearts.
Organising Team, Rehana Gabrani and Ayesha Fayaz said, they planed to spent time in the institution with these destitute and aged women to encourage them and cause joy in their hearts so that they themselves gain peace of mind.
