TRE Cycle organises Properties Developer’s Summit in collaboration with Biz Today International

KARACHI: The Properties Developer’s Summit organized by Tre Cycle in collaboration with Biz Today International on Wednesday, 15 June, 2023 at the Marriott Hotel in Karachi. The summit aimed to provide a platform for developers to explore the latest trends, exchange ideas, and collaborate on transformative projects in the real estate industry.

Abdul Kareem Adhia, the keynote speaker, discussed the concept of satellite cities/sister cities during his presentation. He presented three case studies: Old Mumbai and New Mumbai, New York and New Jersey, and Karachi and Bahria Town or DHA Phase 9. He highlighted the example of a train service on water that was introduced to ease commuting between New Mumbai and Old Mumbai. Adhia emphasized that the responsibility for the current condition of Karachi should not solely be placed on builders, as they are also guided by government and bureaucracy.

Sarwat Naseem Shah, the first guest speaker and Managing Director of Zaamin Builders, and Chairperson of Binae Education Foundation, shared her initiatives to support disabled individuals. She discussed offering easily affordable installment plans over a hundred months to facilitate their access to housing. Shah also mentioned empowering women by providing a 0% down payment plan when a plot is booked in a woman’s name.

Marium Madhupurwala, another guest speaker, talked about her preference for appointing and training women in her real estate business. She shared her experiences with them and offered support in various ways to promote gender equality and empowerment.

Muhammad Raza of Bigger Brick presented an innovative approach to recycling plastic and manufacturing plastic bricks as an alternative to concrete bricks. These plastic bricks are durable and have sufficient load-bearing capacity, demonstrating a creative use of plastic waste.

Other speakers included Usama Khan, Senior Regional Head of Imarat Group of Companies, who discussed their projects; Ansub Naqvi from Asani.io, who talked about water management; Syed Zain Ali from Fortify, who presented their account management venture; and Ambreen Bilal from TRE Cycle, who discussed waste management and recycling to combat climate change . The audience showed great interest in these projects, and the session was interactive and engaging.

Razzak Perdesi, the organizer of the event, concluded the summit by expressing gratitude to the guests and participants for their presence and contributions.
