The event was well attended and created buzz for local brands stepping into the market to celebrate their hobbies and best work. The platform also facilitated countless social enterprise and NGOs working to not only rehabilitate artisans, but empowering women and reviving dying crafts. Special needs individuals were also supported at the event and were appreciated for their efforts in income generating opportunities.

The popularity of handmade crafts in local markets and bazaars is growing and has definitely made a mark in the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Pakistan. Events the likes of The Indie Summer Pop Up and other craft fairs give encouragement and inspire individuals to pursue their own enterprise.

Mr Herman Hardynata bin Ahmed, Consul General of Malaysia graced the event with his presence. Sharing his appreciation for efforts by The Crafter’s Guild.

While running a business is no easy task, it’s such opportunities which can groom and hone talents through trainings, mentorship and exposure. The essence of community at The Crafter’s Guild backs further support for Handmade crafts and Made in Pakistan products.

Countless businesses went home content and sold out for the day. Immense appreciation for the crafts on display by visitors was a morale boost for many home based sellers. Beautiful handicrafts by artisans of Bhitshah, woven textiles, candles, resin work, planters, and numerous stationery items were popular at the event.

Visitors enjoyed local coffee while other savories and sweet treats tantalized taste buds. Children stayed well entertained with a play area while families enjoyed the outdoors. Art therapy and the concept of painting for soothing experiences also garnered interaction with visitors throughout the day.
