Sri Lankan Consulate celebrates Colorful Sri Lanka Food Festival at Marriott
The Sri Lanka Food Festival inaugurated with a big fan fare at Nadia Restaurant, Marriott Hotel, Karachi. The event was inaugurated by Brig (R) Harris Nawaz, Caretaker Provincial Minister of Sindh for Interior as the Chief Guest. While the Guest of Honor was Mr M. Iqbal Memon, Secretary, Ministry of Interior, Sindh.
His Excellency Mr Jagath Abeywarna, Consul General of Sri Lanka to Karachi, Pakistan. Several foreign diplomats, members of Pak-Sri Lanka Business Forum and corporate heads attended the Festival.
A Sri Lankan cultural performance was also part of this Festival performed in front of the Restaurant. The spell bounding cultural performance by Sri Lankan artists pulled the hotel visitors towards the Festival.
It was yet again a remarkable presentation of Sri Lankan culture and food by HE Mr Jagath Abeywarna. The Festival was part of week long celebrations by the Consulate in the town. source: biztoday
