KARACHI: The Indonesian Consulate General in Karachi organized a significant event to promote the upcoming Trade Expo Indonesia 2024 (TEI) on May 31, 2024. The event was graced by the presence of various dignitaries and stakeholders who have been instrumental in fostering Indonesia-Pakistan relations.
Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat, the Consul General of Indonesia, presided over the ceremony. During his speech, Dr. Hadiningrat expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Governor of Sindh, Mr. Kamran Tessori, for his unwavering support throughout his tenure from 2021 to 2024. Dr. Hadiningrat acknowledged the governor’s exceptional leadership and contributions to strengthen the ties between Sindh province and Indonesia.
As part of the event, certificates of appreciation were presented to various partners who have significantly contributed to the success of the Indonesian Consulate’s initiatives in Karachi. These individuals and organizations were recognized for their invaluable support and collaboration.
The recipients of the TEI 2024 Certificate of Appreciation were Mr. Khursheed Nizam, CEO of Ecommerce Gateway Pvt Ltd, Mr. Uzair Nizam, Director of Ecommerce Gateway Pvt Ltd, Mr. Abid Nisar, CEO of ATC Pakistan and Chairman of Pakistan Indonesia Business Council, Mr. Karan Prem Lohana, Director of Jatlee Commodities Pvt Ltd, Mr. Hammad Rasool, CEO of Expert Digital, Mr. Syed Abdul Najeeb, Director of Vision International, Ms. Suminten of and Mr. Najib bulganwala Seatrade Pvt. Ltd, Dr. Junaid Ahmed, Chairman of National Management Consultants Pvt. Ltd, and Mr. Muhammad Umer Siddique, CEO of ORBEXIM Corporation (Pvt) Ltd. These individuals were recognized for their fruitful participation in the 38th Trade Expo Indonesia 2023 held from October 18-22, 2023, representing Sindh province.
Additionally, the event also featured the presentation of the Friends of Indonesia – Shield Award to distinguished personalities who have played a pivotal role in promoting Indonesia’s socio-cultural and economic diplomacy within Sindh province.
The recipients of the Friends of Indonesia – in the speech Dr June kuncoro praise Governor of Sindh, along with that The shields were awarded to Mr. Saleem Bikiya, President and CEO of IBM Group, Mr. Arif Bulgamwala, Chairperson of the Pakistan Philatelic and Numismatics Forum (PPNF), Mr. Ather Iqbal, Director and CEO of SAI Company (Private) Limited, and Dr. Khalid Amin Sheikh, Chancellor and Chairman of the Board of Governors of Indus University, for their continuous support in the socio-cultural and educational sectors between Sindh province and Indonesia.
Dr. Hadiningrat concluded the event by thanking all the attendees and reaffirming Indonesia’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations with Pakistan, particularly through initiatives like the Trade Expo Indonesia.
