Indonesian Consul General attends 13th International Premier Solar Power & Energy Exhibition

KARACHI: On 7 September 2023, the Consul General of the Republic of Indonesia in Karachi Dr. June Kuncoro Hadiningrat attended the opening of 13th International Premier Solar Power & Energy Exhibition & Conference at Karachi Expo Centre on 7 September 2023. The exhibition was held for 3 days and was attended by + 120 participants from various countries including Japan, Germany, South Korea, UAE, France, and China. Participants showcased various products and technologies related to solar power as alternative energy sources.
The presence of exhibitors from abroad shows the optimism that the Pakistani market opportunities in solar products are wide open. Conducting the exhibition is considered timely as it is expected to raise awareness of all concerned parties to consider solar power as a solution to electricity shortage in Pakistan.
Indonesia and Pakistan can work together, especially in a program to enhance and maximize the use of solar energy to suppress dependence on fossil energy. The two countries can also strengthen international cooperation to drive the global energy transition. One of the exhibitors expressed his interest regarding Indonesia’s position as a producer of lithium for electric vehicle battery materials. They have requested time to visit KJRI Karachi for further information regarding this matter.
